SEMA may not run the same way this year, but automakers are still showing off custom creations that would have been at the show. Among these are these 2021 Kia Sorento crossovers. They have received a number of off-road-oriented upgrades and are named after national parks.
The green example is the Sorento Yosemite and the brown is the Sorento Zion. They were both built by LGE-CTE Motorsports and have a pretty similar range of upgrades. Each has 20-inch wheels wrapped in 32-inch off-road tires, as well as custom fender flares to accommodate the extra rubber. Skid plates have also been added for times when the 8.3 inches of ground clearance is insufficient.
Where the crossovers differ is their roof decorations. The Sorento Yosemite has a custom roof rack. There is a quartet of off-road lights in the front edge of this roof rack. The Sorento Zion has a custom roof box. And unlike most aftermarket roof boxes, this one is very inconspicuous and hugs the factory roof lines, making it look like the Sorento only has one high roof. However, these parts are all custom-made. So don’t expect to be able to pick them up at your local Kia dealer.
