There’s a new Audi A6 Sport 2021, but this is not a specific S or RS model. Instead, it is an entry-level 45 TFSI with a little more power.
While the standard 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder puts out 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, the Sport boosts that to 261 horsepower. Torque stays the same at 273 pound-feet, and Audi doesn’t make any claim to improved acceleration times – the standard car is given a time of 6.1 seconds between 0 and 60 mph. You get the same gearbox as before, which means a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic swap out gears for you.
The standard feature of the model is the black exterior package (shown on the single photo provided by Audi). This adds a black grille, black air intakes, black mirror housings, and black window trim. They had to select the $ 1,800 sports package to get this look and feel. In addition, ash wood inlays replace the walnut wood inlays, and a black headliner is standard. Audi says you can still tackle the sports package and it will be cheaper than before because of the additional standard equipment.
Prices start at $ 56,445, including the target fee of $ 1,045. That’s only $ 500 more than a standard A6 without the added performance and appearance package. With such a minimal premium over the completely base car, this one looks like a breeze. Expect this A6 Sport 45 TFSI to hit dealerships soon.
